Tour Tour Tour

Yesterday I arrived back in England after a week in Croatia with Sportsvest and it was definitely a week I needed to share. We left sheffield last Monday and travelled a 31 hour coach journey travelling dover to callas and then through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy (where I had an amazing buffalino sandwich on the way there and back as it was that delicious) Slovenia and finally arriving in Fazana, Croatia on Tuesday. As soon as we got there we checked in and discovered we were staying in caravans but I was sharing with my three fave gals so there was no complaints from me. We went and got food which was not good, it was spinach potatoes that tasted like grass with breaded chicken that was super dry. We then went and got ready for our first night out, the theme was Army which was my favourite theme for the whole trip, I wore a camo playsuit and felt so body confident. We started our night at pre's were we had fun games to do and rules to follow, like one long whistle blow meant we had to army crawl. We then went to the terrace bar for some drinks before heading finally heading to the arena for the rest of the night and lets just be honest the morning because we didn't get in until 6. The next morning we didn't feel super fresh, but nether the less we dragged ourselves to breakfast, for breakfast I ate some bread with cheese and ham, a typical european breakfast. We visited the shop to get drink supplies and food supplies and then we headed to the pool, the weather wasn't super warm but I did go into the pool and it was freezing so it didn't last long! Our evening meal was chips, chicken and gravy which wasn't to bad! Our theme for the second night was lifeguards and tonight we pre'd with the lax boys which is our favourite kinda of night as no matter what we always end back with them, the night was so good once again, I even ended my night with the nicest pizza slice! On Thursday we spent our day again day drinking and visiting the beach which was super chill and lovely, dinner was pasta, beef and gravy, weirdest combination I've ever eaten and I can't say I was a fan so I just ate the pasta. Our theme for tonight was "ghost" so as freshers we wore a swimming cap, white face paint and a white sheet, I felt super ill so wasn't the most fun at pre's so after went back to mine to drink more just me and Annie and liven up a bit, we were shortly joined by Em and one of the lax boys Tom, I decided to take the swimming cap off as it hurt my head and to sort my face out so I looked normal. Once I was drunk we headed to the arena, my sheet got ripped so I ditched that also! After the night out I got a vegan wrap and omg was it delicious!! We had afters with some of the lax girls and boys which was super fun and some more bonding time. Our last day was so much fun, the weather was so warm, we once again day drank, we went to beach and I caught the sun, people decided to colour in my tattoos so I was glad I could be bit of entertainment for them! Dinner was burgers and rice, I ate the burger and left the rice. Our final theme of the week was Noah's Ark and I was a crab along with a lax boy Sam who truly outdid me, I had so many plans but they didn't happen! Nether the less we had an incredible last night which once again ended with pizza, I'm very disappointed to be home and not enjoying that pizza! We left Saturday morning at 10.45 and I have to say it was a rough journey, I slept all day Saturday, all night and some of sunday and I was still TIRED, I felt like I became a sloth. We arrived back in Sheffield at half 5 and I am now in full recovery mode and am slowly getting myself back into the gym and losing the vodka weight. I had the best week and have so much love for our Lax family, the boys and girls for sure bonded a whole lot more this trip and I couldn't be more thrilled about it!

my mum x

Dear Mum,
There are so many things I want you to know. After years of you putting me first and constantly singing my praises, its my turn.
You are the most beautiful women in the world and I don't just mean that in the sense of the way you look, although don't get me wrong you've aged well. But you have the most beautiful heart, you constantly put everyone before yourself and I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't have the love and support that you have given me.
Ever since I moved out Ive appreciated the little things that mothers do for their children, for 19 years of your life you made sure I was fed, washed, cared for and had a roof over my head. And even now I know that whatever I need whenever I need it, you'll be there and for the rest of our days together you'll forever be here to support me.
Your forever my biggest fan, cheering me on as I do everything I want to do and understanding that the things i want to do in my life mean ill never be a home bird. Im independent, I have to spread my wings and fly away and you are always there supporting what my heart desires. Thank you, a thousand times over thank you. I can't ever explain how much it means to me that you understand who I am and I know whatever I do with my life that will never change.
When you gave birth to my sister 26 years ago and me 5 years later you sacrificed a huge part of your life to build and shape us into the women we are today, without you we wouldn't be where we are today, you've given us the best life two girls could ever ask for.
A simple thank you will never be enough, you've given me the world and more and I only wish I could give you the same back. so even if I can never give you half of what you've given me I will work everyday to make you proud and accomplished that you raised me.
The next time someone says "you got it from your mama" do you know what my response will be? "hell yeah"
I love you x

Going Back To Camp..

It has officially hit the three month countdown for my second summer At Camp Grove Point and  I'm so ready to be back in my favourite place, sleeping outside and eating Doracos and amores all summer long. Camp feels like home to me and is an escape from reality and although I don't have much to escape from O don't think its ever a bad thing to give yourself time away from your normal routine. As much as I am loving uni its coming to the end of the year which means that myself and everyone around me needs a break and a refresh and what better way for me to do it then leave the country for three months? So its time for me to bring out the fancy dress, start remembering the camp songs once again and prepare myself for a whole summer of ice cream, pizza and running around camp having the best of fun. Three months time and ill be on the plane on the way to Maryland, it can't come quick enough!

Happy Birthday Mumma x

On Tuesday it is my Mums birthday so this weekend I headed home to celebrate with her as unfortunately I have uni on her actual birthday. We started the celebrations by having a pamper morning on Saturday by going to get our nails done together, I got my acrylics re-done and had them painted pink and of course i had to add a bit of gold glitter and mum got pink gels. We then picked up my sister and dad and went to Fosters garden centre as me and mum love a garden centre (call me 90), we wandered around and of course stopped for a coffee and lunch break, I had a pulled pork toastie with salad, Mum had  a coronation chicken baguette, Dad had a fruit scone and my sister had a brie, bacon and cranberry toastie. I also tried a peppermint soya latte and it was actually so nice. After we went and viewed some show homes where my sister wants to live as this is something we actually really enjoy doing, we also did some shopping at Sainsbury's. For dinner we had a buffet which is one of our favourite dinners to have as a family, we had sausage rolls, spring rolls, sticky chicken on a stick, crisps, cheese and crackers, hummus with cucumber and carrot sticks and it was delicious. We spent the evening playing 'game of life' and cards. I woke up Sunday morning feeling refreshed and loving being home for the weekend, I had my favourite russian fudge yoghurt, granola and strawberries for breakfast and had a relaxing bath. In the afternoon I went for a long run, I used to spend every Sunday going for these country runs so I enjoyed being back. We spent Sunday evening having a family meal of beef casserole, sweet potato mash and veggies and then we played cards once again. Monday I headed back to Sheffield but before i went home we had a family meal of stand and stuff fajitas and they were so nice. We then of course went for a Costa, I had a sugar free caramel soya latte. I adored my weekend back home with my family and Im already excited to see them again.

Where it all changed

A year ago today my life changed when I went to a Camp America London recruitment fair and I got placed at Camp Grove Point and now I'm preparing myself for my second summer. When I flew to America I had no idea what I was letting myself in for and never imagined how much it would change my life. The day I arrived it was windy and cold, it took us four hours to drive to camp, I barely ate, we pulled up to discover we were in tents and my oh my was it the coldest night sleep of my life. It was a hard night, I cried, I was cold and jet lagged and I didn't think I could do it and I was certain I wanted to go home, however I woke up the next day refreshed and knew I was going to love it! And it has truly changed my life, I made a family, I had the best summer of my life, I couldn't of asked for a better job and now I'm so excited and ready to be preparing myself for my second summer at my favourite place in the world. I left a big chunk of my heart at Camp and its forever changed my life.

Leicester for the weekend

Last weekend I headed down to Leicester to visit one of my best friends Amy at uni and we had such a fun weekend! When I got to Leicester Ames met me and then we went back to hers. For dinner we made our favourite, Chicken Fajitas with cheese and lettuce, courgette, onions and peppers, they were amazing! We then got ourselves all dressed up and went to her friends house for pre drinks, her friends are so much fun so it was a really good night! We were meant to go to an event at a club but a lot of things happened that meant we didnt end up going! We had a long lie in on saturday morning until 11am, for breakfast I had honey loops with grapes and a cup of tea. We had a pretty lazy day but did go on a walk. For lunch we made cheese and tomato toasties like the ones they do at Costa, so lush! We watched a lot of cupcake wars and dinner date. For dinner we made tomato, pepper chicken with rice and sweetcorn, it was sooooo good. We then spent the night at one of Amys friends house chatting, snacking on strawberries and sensations and it was a really good night! Sunday I had to head home and after the weekend I was exhausted someone I managed a 10mile run. I can't wait to go back and visit her again!

Back to uni I go..

This has been my first week back at uni since Christmas and its been the best, it started by being reunited with my flatmate and uni bestie Teagan. A month is way to long to be separated! We went to the pub with James, Dec, Harrison and Adam and then onto a bar called West Street Live and it was such a fun night. I was so happy and was beaming all night, it was so good to be back with my friends! It was then back to Lacrosse training and we are now training with the first team, which makes it harder and better! It rained like crazy so was freezing and we could only do an hour!  Obviously in-between this I had my first week back in lectures and seminars and thankfully they eased us in. Finally wednesday nights out are back and my oh my did we come back with a bang, the theme for this week was 'chav' and I think its the comfiest I've ever been. We went all out and I wore a large nike top as a dress, trainers, the biggest hoops you've seen, a high half up, half down ponytail and a bomber jacket, I also made sure to have a slag line and foundation lips! We started of at pre's at my friend Jess's house with the lax boys, we then went to players and Maida Vale and finishing up at the club Crystal. As per usual we all had an amazing night and danced our night away. What a way to start second semester!

Here we go again..

Another year, the same me. Its the new year so the time that usually everybody kick start something new, but not me, I plan to continue doing what i was doing last year but bigger and better. Every year I set myself goal of losing weight and it pushes me to the brink of unhappiness, so this year I've decided I just want to be happy and healthy with how I feel, I'm going to continue working out six days a week as I already do, eat healthy because I love how it makes me feel but also allow myself to have treats. I want to spend more time outside, I spent my whole summer last year outside and I loved it, I feel more myself when I'm outside, Ill be spending my second summer at Camp in America this year and I couldn't more excited for it! Last year I really got experimental with my hair and fashion and I want to do more of it this year, Im starting by semi-permanetley colouring my hair grey! I can become quite a recluse and say no to social events, but after not having a moment alone for three months last summer I've realised that as much as I love my own company I love being surrounded by people and be constantly on the go seeing people and having fun! So this year I want to spend more time with my family when I come home from Uni and say yes to everything. 2017 was the best year of my life and I want to make 2018 better, lets do this!
