First Lacrosse Tournament

On Saturday I played my first development Lacrosse Tournament, it was the first game we had played as a team and I think everyone did amazingly. We had two teams and both teams played two games, my team won one of our games too! It was a really good way for us to learn more about the game, learn what we need to work on and the rules. It was absolutely freezing but so worth it as we all had a lot of fun and came together as a team. Although we didn't get into the final we got to play the game and experience a playing against people we don't know. After the game we all went and got hot chocolates to warm up and then in the evening we went on a night out to celebrate. Joining Lacrosse is brining me so much joy and theres so much more to it than just training, I've met some of the nicest girls in the world and we always have the best of fun on our socials.

LAX LOVE

At the start of University I knew for certain that I wanted to join a society or sport, as I think it is apart of the University experience and I wanted to fully embrace every part of it. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do so I went to two trampling sessions which I loved however getting there was tricky, I then went to lacrosse and at first I didn't think it was for me but as we got into it I feel in love and decided this was the sport for me. It is such a difficult sport to play and learn but one Im loving learning everything about, I train every Tuesday and so far have not missed a session. There is also the social side of it that is incredible, the whole team is incredible and friendly and I get on with all of them, but I've also formed a little friendship group and I couldn't be happier, we have so much fun together and are so supportive of each other. As a team we also all go out on a Wednesday and its ALWAYS fancy dress we've had themes like Cave girl, cops and robbers, retro sport, frat and so many more and I'm loving what themes the social secs come up with each week. We've also been introduced to other sports teams, one of which is the Lacrosse mens team who are so welcoming and friendly and everyone gets along incredibly. Lacrosse was one of the best decisions I've made and I'm so excited to get better at it and continue to make fun, messy memories with the girls!

Gifts From The Other Side Of The World

I was truly spoilt for my birthday and felt like a very lucky girl, but one gift that had an extra special meaning was from my Twinny all the way from Australia. After weeks of waiting for it to arrive I finally had it in my hands and was able to open it and my oh my was I blown away! The gifts themselves were incredible but it meant so much more to me that they had been with Casper and now from the other side of the world they were with me, she put so much thought into what she got me which was so thoughtful! Whilst at camp together I got totally obsessed with Australia (and America, its just sort of my thing, I get obsessed with things from new places or places that Im visiting) and fell in love with some of the snacks that her dad was sending over, so of course now living without these treats is a real struggle. However in my gift the first thing I saw was that she had stocked me up with all my favourite Australian Snacks! Im now stocked up on Caramel Koalas (so Australian omg), M&M Crispy Chocolate, why do we not do that in England? cheese and bacon shapes and barbecue shapes, my absolute favourites, mine and Caspers favourite things to do on our breaks was watch netflix and eat barbecue shapes together and TeeVee Snacks, which if you don't know what they are are basically chocolate finger but with a more malt flavour. She has well and truly sorted me out and I'm going to make these snacks last me as long as possible! Then once I had looked through all the snacks, I saw it, I saw a duster bag with the word 'Mimco' on it, shed got me a designer bag!! And it is gorgeous, all through camp I had been borrowing hers and so she decided to get me my very own. I couldn't believe it and kept saying on FaceTime to her 'no you didn't no you didn't', I was so incredibly thankful and still can't believe I own a Mimco. After having a cry over it I realised how amazing it really is, its a good size for everyday use with a shoulder strap that is detachable so I can also use it as a clutch bag! I can't thank Twinny enough for these incredible gifts and her sending them from her home land means so much more to me! I Love You Caspy x

A Day with My Bestfriend

A couple of weeks ago my best friend Jess came to in Sheffield and we had such an amazing day I couldn't not share. We began our day at a cute little coffee shop called "The Cabin Waffle and Pancake House" I had a maple spice latte and Jess had a berry smoothie and we both indulged in a stack of three pancakes with Nutella and strawberries and my oh my were they to die for and I felt like I nearly did. Nevertheless we both finished them as I wouldn't expect any less from us! We then decided to take a stroll around Sheffield to try and attempt at working off what we had just ate. I showed her some of my regular places in Sheffield, like the university and the night clubs and we browsed a couple of shops. We then headed back to my flat so she could take a look into the world I now live in. Before we knew it we only had a couple of hours left and we couldn't have Jess leaving without going for a cocktail so we headed over to Spoons and shared a purple rain pitcher, chips and garlic bread. We then headed to the train station but not before stopping at Costa to get Jess a gingerbread latte for the train home, because of course that is essential! I had the best day catching up with her and I can't wait for her to come back and visit me!

HALLOWEEN

Being at uni means that every holiday is an excuse for a night out and Halloween was no exception. We started our halloween celebrating by carving pumpkins, I carved one and Emma and Teagan carved one, once we were finished we put a poll of who's was better and they won LIES. The next night was halloween so we all dressed up as dead pink ladies and Sarita was a devil and headed to code to dance the night away, it was such a good night out and the next day we were fully dead. HOWEVER that did not stop us celebrating with our lax girls the next night, wednesdays are our socials with the lax girls so we could not miss it. Me and Teagan went with the same outfit and Sarita went as a cat. It was a joint social with the Lax boys who we love!! They are so nice and welcoming, we played drinking games like Zimi Zimi and "the harbour", we then headed to a bar called players. One of the former lax girls that had joined us for the night bought me and my friends three £5 rounds, which is a double vodka, VK, sambuca shot and jaeger bomb and WE LOVE THEM. We spent the rest of our night in the club called Crystal and it was one of the best nights we've had, the Lax boys are so much fun! HAPPY HALLOWEEN  WITCHES.

My 20th Birthday

This weekend I celebrated my 20th birthday and it was a fun packed weekend! My weekend started on Friday evening, when me, Emma, Teagan, Sarita went on a night out, we started with having some drinks at mine and Teagans Flats, they surprised me with lovely birthday gifts, Emma got me a topshop gift card and the girls got me a bambi onsie and unicorn fluffy socks, they know me so well! We partied the night away and it was a great night out! On the saturday my family came up, we started by having a costa, I had a caramel soya latte and a cheese and tomato toastie, it was definitely needed. We walked around Sheffield and I was like a mini tour guide! I got my new iPhone sorted out and bought a skirt and top to wear for the evening. I then died my hair, which made me feel fresh and ready for my birthday. In the evening we went to a mexican for dinner called Las Iguanas and omg it was incredible, I had chicken fajitas and three pina coladas! After we went to a cocktail bar and I had a porn star martini. We then went back to mine and carried on drinking some more with Teagan and Emma. My sister, Teagan, Emma and myself then went to west street bars and to plug and danced the night away, do I remember it? absolutely not. The next morning I was woken with yoghurt, croissants, tea and presents, what a lucky girl I am. We spent the afternoon doing a Harry Potter Escape room and it was fabulous, it was so much fun and we managed to complete it!! We then went for a lovely roast dinner, it was so great! I spent my evening drinking hot chocolates and watching netflix. I also went for a long walk on my own to think about turning 20 and the weekend id just had. I had an amazing weekend and was truly spoilt!

Just Like Me.

Finding someone who has the exact same personalities, likes and dislikes as you is pretty rare and special, finding someone who shares all that with you and looks similar to you is something you never Imagine to happen and yet this summer this became my reality. I travelled all the way to America and found my Australian Twin, Casper and I now share a bond with her nobody could ever understand. So Casper this is for you. We spent a whole 12 weeks working, living and having fun together and yet I never got tired of the way we laughed together, we never ran out things to say or jokes to make, the summer flew by and I feel like all I did was laugh and cry with you. We saw some amazing parts of America together and getting to experience that with you was a lifetime memories that ill cherish forever, you were the one that introduced me to Vegas and made me fall9 in love with the bright lights and the crazy atmosphere. You also made me fall back in love with myself and made me realise there is bigger more important things to see and do in the world than count calories or go for a run. For the first time in years I let my hair down and didnt worry about whether I was doing enough exercise or if I was putting on weight, I ate what I wanted, when I wanted and didnt care about the consequence.Running around camp and America with you was incredible, we became an unseperable pair and being on the other side of the world to you breaks my heart. Saying goodbye to you in LA after two months of never being apart was the hardest thing, all I wanted was for you to stay by my side and see america with me. Thank you for the best two months, the best memories, the way you've helped me with things you never even knew you were helping with, for the constant memories we make now even on the other side of the world, waking up to Skype calls with you makes my day brighter, but most of all thank you for being my Twinny.
