Whilst in America I did a lot of Travelling I visited Philly, Washington DC, Las Vegas, LA, San Diego, San Fransisco and New York, I went to a no tax outlet and shopping centre, I went to skyzone trampolining. Me and the girls from camp went to Philly for fourth of July and it was incredible, we went to a food market, saw liberty bell, watched Rocky on an open air cinema screen whilst on the Rocky steps, we watched a fourth of July parade and fireworks, went to Hard Rock Cafe for the first time and whole foods and discovered that america has Nandos, so of course we HAD to go for one. We took a day trip to Washington DC and saw all of the touristy things, the white house wasn't as glamorous as I thought it was going to be. I fell in love with washington and Philly and could see myself living in either cities. I then began after camp travels, me and twinny (Casper) began by driving to Vegas from La, we stayed at The Linq which was on the strip and was amazing, there is so much to see in Vegas and everything is extravagant, we walked through some of the other resorts, Caesar Palace and the Venetian were by far my favourites. We then drove back to La, the night we got there we went up to Griffiths Observatory to watch the sunset and see the Hollywood Sign. Whilst in La I also cycled along Santa Monica Beach, wave catching on Venice Beach, I went to the Warner Bros Studio Tour, Universal Studios, hiked to the Hollywood Sign, went to Madamn Taussauds, did a driving tour of Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. I spent a week in La and then went to San Diego for a couple days. Whilst in San Diego I went to the Zoo, spent a day at a park reading and sunbathing, did a little bit of shopping, explored Downtown. I then took a thirteen hour bus journey to San Fran, which is one of my favourite cities. I met up with another two of my friends from Camp and we explored China Town, went on a whale watching tour, looked around Fishermans Wharf, I lied seeing all the sea lions, there were so many, went to Coit Tour, mission district and Golden Gate Bridge, we also all tried a bread bowl, I got a bolognese bread bowl and it was delicious. On their last night we went to Cheese Cake Factory in Macys in Union Square, we sat on the Balcony, I ate a burger and the 30th Anniversary Cheesecake, I died and went to food heaven that night. I spent the rest of my time in San Fran going to Alcatraz, Alma Square to see the Painted Ladies, I also did some shopping, Saw the Mrs Doubtfire house and the school in Princess Diaries. I then flew over to New York, I only had two half days in New York, so in the little time I had I tried to do as much as possible. I saw Central Park, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Empire State, Grand Central Staion, The Rockafellar and The Chrysler Building. I met up with a friend and we went to Olive Garden for dinner. I had the best time in New York and I'm so excited to go back and explore more places. After three months, 9 cities, 8 states, 6 flights, 5 greyhound buses and an endless amount of memories it was time for my final destination, home. I was devastated to be leaving but ready to see my family and start a n
ew chapter in my life. I had the best time travelling and I really do think solo travelling is healing for the soul and something I'm so glad I did.
